Shared devices and signing out

25.1Set up a shared device

For a tablet on the wall, or one that stays on the brew deck, sign it in with the brewery's shared device account, using the shared device password we give you. It stays signed in as the shared device until someone signs it out.

25.2Sign in with your PIN

On a shared device, people still sign in as themselves, so Hakkotome still records who did what. They use a four-digit PIN instead of a password.

The first time you use any shared device, you make up your four-digit PIN and type it twice to confirm. It's saved, and it works on every shared device after that.

1. Press your name.
2. Type your four-digit PIN.
3. Choose how long to stay signed in: - 10 minutes: a quick job. Sign in, mark that you did something or check a few things, and walk away. It signs you out after 10 minutes of not being used. - 1 hour: a job that takes a while, with three or four steps, where you need the tablet for that hour. - All day: a brew day, when you'll use it all day and don't want to keep signing in.
